Why a blog and website about Service Oriented Power Exchange Relationships?

For years people who have attended my classes and workshops have asked me to write at length about Master/slave – Owner/property relationship dynamics.  Not from the socially accepted point of view that is so prevalent today, but from my point of view – from my experience and my understanding.

In this website, I will share my own thoughts on the subject as well as connect you to other sites, people, and articles that I think may be of value.

I will write in depth about things that are basic, and also things that most people are afraid to discuss. This site is not meant to be anything more than my thoughts on the subject. It is not the be all and end all of the discussion on M/s relationships. Some people will agree with what I have to say, others will find it patently offensive. For a few, it will resonate deep within them. It will support them on their journey, it will give them tools and resources to assist them in coming to terms with choosing this life.

Let the Journey begin.

Our working definition of Power Exchange Relationship is:

“A relationship where the parties involved are not peers. It is a relationship where one or more partners involved in the relationship surrender ultimate control of their autonomy and give “ownership” authority to another. ”

Our belief about this union we call “Master and slave”:

“At MadameBlake.com we believe that M/s relationships while containing elements of service are largely not about service as it is played out in many D/s relationships.  We believe that Master/slave relationships are essentially psychological in nature.  That the ultimate pleasure derived from these couplings is seeing fundamental changes in the very personality and nature of the slave. This change is not to see them become doormats, or overtly submissive – this change is a reshaping their thought processes,  their demeanor, their speech patterns, their very essence – into the person that they believe themselves to be. A person very different from the one that their ego holds in check and fights to sustain. ”

We view consensual slavery as Love in Action!

Consensual slavery involves rigorous practice, it is being in a state where one constantly seeks out surrender to an idea or way of being that they believe about themselves, it is to be counted a privilege not a burden to be faced with dread.

At its core, the only tool required is an open heart, that stands at the ready to meet the needs of another.

Our Vision:

To support people who chose to form power exchange relationships. To provide tools to help establish healthy PE relationships, to listen and coach people as they work together to grow their relationships and develop a deep and genuine intimacy.

Our Goal:

To this end we hope to provide valuable resources to-

• Assist people in managing their relationships effectively
• Learn the skills that they need to fulfill their role within the M/s construct
• Cultivate healthier, interdependent – not co-dependent – intimate relationships
• Develop one’s ability to listen with an open heart
• To have necessary conversations appropriately
• To grow in one’s love and understanding of service
